Who we are
Ministry Director
Leading the team is: Ed Shaw
Ed is the Pastor of Emmanuel City Centre in Bristol and is the author of The Plausibility Problem (published in the US as Same-Sex Attraction and the Church) and Purposeful Sexuality.
Content Director
Looking after our website is: Anne Witton
Anne is a missionary in Newcastle and Gateshead. She also has a Philosophy degree and an MA in Contemporary Missiology. Anne loves to help others know life in all its fullness in Jesus. She is happily single and loves Christian community, wild swimming, samba drumming, books and playing her ukulele.
Training Director
Co-ordinating our training for churches is: Andy Robinson
Andy was a pastor for 19 years and now works part-time leading a ministry training course in Oxford alongside working with Living Out. Surprisingly, he enjoys talking personally about issues of sexuality – being able to say that God's grace is sufficient in our weakness. He describes himself as a northerner in exile and still insists that there is no 'r' in the pronunciation of bath.
Emerging Generations Director
Co-ordinating our engagement with under-25s and those serving them is: Andrew Bunt
Andrew loves wrestling with big questions and has degrees in theology from Durham University and King's College London. He is the author of People Not Pronouns: Reflections on Transgender Experience (Grove Books) and Finding Your Best Identity: A Short Christian Introduction to Identity, Sexuality and Gender (IVP). In the words of one of his friends: 'On paper you should be boring, but you're actually quite good fun.'
Emerging Generations Associate
Helping engage young people and equip youth leaders is: Ashleigh Hull
Ashleigh was a youth leader for 10 years at her local church and now works for an international charity sharing the gospel with young people. If you need a good coffee, a long fantasy novel, or a discussion about the Old Testament, give her a call.
Digital Content Manager
Running our social media is: Dan Reid
Dan works part time for his church in Bristol and part time for Living Out. He'd like to lodge a complaint with God about the inconvenience of facial hair, but thanks him for tennis, gin, and books.
